Tribute to a Great Man
To the most amazing dad I could ask for, my hero, my mentor, my advisor, my biggest cheerleader, who supported me in everything in life, thank you for being the outstanding person that you were, for loving your family and friends unconditionally, for being a positive influence and role model to everyone around you, for being such an amazing dad, husband, grandfather, brother, uncle, son in law, cousin, friend, and man of God; for always smiling and laughing, and for being the positive force you were even in suffering, for staying so strong and fighting to live for your family each and every day. Thank you God for blessing us with a good life, made possible by this man. You are my hero and I will think of you and miss you every day. Watch over us and be our guardian angel. Fly away and be free from this earthly pain. Love you with all our hearts, til we meet again. ~ Son
Pros Galido had been a liver transplant patient for 8 years. The road had it’s ups and downs, but with strong faith and perseverance, Pros never gave up and regardless of the pain, always hid it with a smile.
In 2016, we were waiting for a new liver once again. With a new grandson, and a new will to live, lungs stricken with pneumonia and gasping for breath, Pros exclaimed, “Put me on life support if it comes to it, I want to fight and live!”
This was our website to update everyone on dad’s progress. Today, it’s a tribute to him and the many transplant survivors on the journey of survival. Live life to the fullest. As dad said, make the rest of your life, the best of your life.
It’s the Greatest Gift you can Give One organ and tissue donor can save up to 8 lives and enhance the lives of more than 50 people. To register as an organ donor in California:
• Visit the Donate Life California Organ & Tissue Donor Register website • Visit any local CA DMV office.
Thank you to all our family and friends for your prayers, love and support. Words cannot express how deeply grateful we are to have you in our lives.
